“O God, Our Help in Ages Past, Our hope for years to come”…

As we journey into a new year, Psalm 90 is a powerful psalm to pray, sing, and ponder. It tells us that people, places and things constantly change, but God Almighty is unchanging. His love and power is present throughout all times of our lives. As we enter a year to be filled with transition and change, we can rest assured and find comfort that, yes, “from everlasting you are God, To endless years the same.”

All choirs will begin in January. As always, any and all who are interested in joining the Adult Choir or Handbell Choir are encouraged to see me or any member of the choir. There is always room for one, two, three, or more! We have lots and lots of fun in our musical journeys together.

The Children’s Choir rehearsals will begin on January 15, with the Junior Choir rehearsing first. The Carol Choir will rehearse in February. Combined rehearsals will then take place in March to prepare for Easter. Schedules will be announced soon via e-mail and the music bulletin board.

Our youth bell choir is active and ongoing. The choir rehearses Sundays after late service. The choir rings approximately once a month, and is open to children in the general age range of 3rd-8th grade. It is a fun time of ringing and learning!

The Sanctuary Series will continue in 2012, with plans underway for many exciting concerts. Please keep watch for fliers posted around the church, e-mail invites, and other publicity. These are fun events, with wonderful times of fellowship following the performances. You can become a regular supporter of the Sanctuary Series with your tax-deductible donation. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity to support at any level of giving. Your name will be displayed in programs as a special supporter of the Sanctuary Series. You will also receive advance information for all upcoming concerts and programs.

So, as we journey into a new year, may we always sing:

“Love him and praise him, And still shall raise him Glad hymns forev

Soli Deo Gloria!
