York conference tutoring program: Will resume September 2007.
Lutheran congregations in the York area cooperate to provide one-on-one tutoring to city school children.
What can I do?
Be a tutor: 7-8:15 p.m. on Monday or Tuesday night, October-April
Provide a snack for the students and tutors

Once a month, volunteers bring home-baked goods (cupcakes, brownies, cookies), to the church – To Serve: contact Marsha Linden 848-8796
Once a month, volunteers gather at the church to cook the casserole served at the Soup Kitchen -- To Serve: contact Pastor Schlegel 854-5589 ext. 24
Once a month, volunteers bring 5 lbs. of cooked ground beef for use by the cooks – To Serve: contact Tracey DePasquale tracer140@yahoo.com 854-8388

Bring food offerings on the first Sunday of each month

Bring children’s clothing anytime to the collection box in the church library

Bread for the World covenant congregation

Support local agencies, fair trade coffee and chocolate, our Companion Hospital in Tanzania, and Heifer Project International through the Advent Gift Corner and Alternative Marketplace
Volunteers coordinate these projects and deliver gifts to the agencies
